2008 Suzuki SX4 Sedan Touring Package An Affordable Sedan with A lot to offer |
|
![]() |
The new Suzuki SX4 sedan is just about as much fun as its brother the SX4 compact sport X-over, a vehicle that is an absolute hoot to drive. How can one car be so much fun? Try it out and see for yourself. At last, a small, relatively inexpensive vehicle that is also comfortable, peppy and quiet. Not to mention, easy to drive.
Our SX4 sedan, with Touring Package came well-equipped for just under $18,000. Everything automatic, power heated mirrors, cruise and tilt wheel, floor mats, steering wheel audio controls and intermittent wipers, among other goodies make up this compact little package of fun.
Suzuki's 2.0-liter 16-valve I-4 engine offers plenty of get-up-and-go and the speedo is clocked for 140 mph. Teamed up with a 4-speed automatic transmission, the SX4 sedan drives effortlessly and easily. Although we remain partial to the compact X-over version, the sedan gets high points as well.
Other standard equipment on our SX4 sedan includes ABS with EBD, Dual Stage front airbags, Side curtain airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, DRL's, Height adjustable driver and front passenger seat belts, Panic alarm or remote FOB, Fog lamps, Automatic A/C, 6CD/AM/FM/MP3 Audio System with 9 speakers including subwoofer, remote keyless entry, rear window defroster, Aluminum interior accents, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Each front door contains a handy storage pocket, with enough space for books, maps, wallets and a bottle. Controls are easily reached and operated and intuitive. It didn't take long to figure out how each feature worked. Our SX4 sedan was programmed for XM radio should one decide to opt for it.
SX4 sedan joins the U.S. Suzuki vehicle line for 2008, along with the sport X-over SX4 (2007), XL-7 midsize crossover, Grand Vitara, Reno, Forenza, Forenza Wagon and Aerio. Quite a lineup. |
