The new 2008 Suzuki SX4 Sedan is a blast of a little car. We're particularly fond of its stablemate, the SX4 hatchback. If you're looking for a compact car that's comfortable, appealing in style, quiet, peppy and solid, the SX4 is the car to consider.

Suzuki compares its SX4 sport sedan with the likes of Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and Mazda 3i. Not only does the SX4 have a better warranty (7 yrs.100,000-miles), but it is less expensive ($14,770 base price vs. Corolla at $17,115, Honda Civic at $16,960 and Mazda 3I at $16,728). Suzuki offers a 2.0-liter 4 cylinder engine (which Mazda3i also offers vs. Civic's 1.8-liter and Corolla's 1.8-liter), the most lb. foot of torque (136), standard 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS, alloy wheels, aero body kit, power windows/locks/mirrors, remote keyless entry, front seat side mounted airbags, front and rear curtain airbags and available Electronic Stability Control.

Driving this little 4-door sedan is effortless and enjoyable. The seating is firm and accommodating, the controls easily reached and operated, and the ride is firm, but not harsh. It's a relaxing car to drive and when navigating at highway speeds, the SX4 performs very well.

Standard equipment on the SX4 Sedan includes a tire pressure monitoring system, ABS, speed sensitive power steering, 17-inch alloy wheels and 17-inch tires, 4-speed automatic transmission and Sport Body Kit. Automatic A/C, power windows/locks/mirrors, power heated mirrors, AM/FM/C D/MP3 Audio system with four speakers, cruise and tilt wheel, floor mats, rear window defroster, intermittent multi-SPD wipers, steering wheel audio controls and leather wrapped steering wheel.
