Planning a Road Trip? KBB Has the Vehicle

The editors at KelleyBlueBook.com are busy creating lists again, this time they have gathered a list of what they believe are the 10 greatest road trip vehicles. Surveying nearly 6,000 car buyers on which of the 10 vehicles they would most like to take a road trip in, KBB editors came up with the following:

Best Road Trip Vehicles

  1. 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
  2. 2004 Lincoln Navigator
  3. 2004 Lexus LS 430
  4. 2004 Mercedes E-Class
  5. 2005 Dodge Magnum
  6. 2004 Toyota Sienna
  7. 2004 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Wagon
  8. 2004 Hyundai XG350L
  9. 2004 Subaru Outback
  10. 2004 Mazda3 5-door

Criteria used to evaluate and choose the 10 Great Road Trip Vehicles included models currently on the road, priced under $75,000 with the ability to carry a minimum of four passengers. What car buyers seemed to be looking for most was size and comfort, rather than the best fuel economy.

Overwhelmingly, the survey found that car buyers chose large SUV’s like the Chevy Tahoe and Lincoln Navigator. Next on the list were the luxury sedans Lexus LS 430 and Mercedes E-Class. Kelley Blue Book editors shared the following advantages of each vehicle:
