• General Motors Corp. 65,000 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, Oldsmobile Bravada SUV’s to repair possible problem with fuel-line fittings.
• General Motors. 1.9 million 1995-97 Chevrolet Cavaliar, Pontiac Sunfire, 1996-97 Buick Skylark, Pontiac Grand Am, Oldsmobile Achieva. High electrical current flow through ignition switch may cause a fire in the steering column.
• Chrysler. 545,000 Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Town & Country minivans built between June 1996-October 1998. Sound insulation can fall into the rear seat-belt assembly.
• GM. 2003 Pontiac Vibe wagon; 2003 Toyota Corolla (8,483) sedans. Bolts holding rear wheel hubs to axle may need fixing.
• Honda. Acura TL sedans built between October 1999-February 2000. Problem with an air bag that may not inflate properly.
• Toyota. 1996-1998 4Runner, 273, 743. Handling problem. Two-wheel-drive versions can be difficult to control if overloaded and driver makes a hard turn.
• Land Rover. 1999-2001 Discovery II SUV’s, 55, 505. Antilock brakes can malfunction. Same vehicles and an additional 9,420 from 2002 model year are being recalled because accelerator cable strands can break.
• Volkswagen. Golf, Jetta, Beetle, built between October 2000-September 2001, 55,000. ABS control unit could cause a fire.
• Volkswagen. 1993-2000 Jetta, Passat, Cabrio, 311,000. Fuel tank filler neck can be damaged by a rear-tire blowout.
• Ford Motor Co. Focus SVT. Dealers ordered to stop delivery because cruise control cable could catch on part of the throttle body assembly resulting in the throttle becoming stuck open.
• Chrysler. 2000-01 Jeep Wranglers, 2000-01 Jeep Cherokees, 1999-2002 Jeep Grand Cherokees. 4-liter engines may present potential fire hazard.
• Acura. 2000 3.5 RL, 25,000. Possibility of brake light malfunction, which increases risk of crash. Oil applied to car’s brake pedals to prevent rust could leak into brake electrical components and cause brake lights to fail, according to NHTSA. Owners will be notified by mail next month.
• Daewoo. 1998 Lanos, 70,000. Replace front passenger-side airbag covers. In a crash in which airbags do not inflate, surface of dashboard covering bags could cause head injuries, according to NHTSA.
