ATTENTION PT CRUISER OWNERS

Chrysler kicks off its first-annual PT Cruiser ownership event September 28 at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois.

Come join all your fellow PT owners/ drivers/enthusiasts for a big bash. Families from across the Midwest will cruise into Chicago on September 28 to share a day of wild rides, live musical entertainment and, of course, cars. The PT Cruiser Block Party is free of charge to PT Cruiser owners and takes place at Great America in Gurnee, IL.

This promises to be a day packed with events and activities specifically about PT Cruisers. "It’s our way of saying thank you, and if you’re a PT Cruiser devotee and owner, this is a dream come true," says Tom Marinelli, Vice President-Chrysler Marketing.

All kinds of good stuff will be at the PT Block Party, including a preview of concept PT’s, and a chance to experience the performance and capabilities of the full Chrysler lineup of vehicles. Driving courses will be set up and guests can take the Chrysler 300 for a test drive, along with the Sebring sedan and convertible, and the Town & Country minivan. The 2003 PT Cruiser will also be on hand. Attendees will be able to test drive the new Turbo PT on a test course.

Fireworks, and an outdoor musical extravaganza showcasing the music of Chuck Berry, the Shirelles, The Countours, The Tokens and Little Anthony & The Imperials. Casey Kasem will be the emcee for the concert’s festivities. Also available will be a customized "Speed Shop" to highlight the numerous ways to customize your Cruiser. Representatives from Professional aftermarket companies will be on hand to hold workshops and perform demonstrations to show PT Cruiser owners how to individualize their own engines, grilles, hoods, headlights and taillights.
