New Book On Sale

Susan Frissell,Ph.D., and Dani Ben-Ari are determined to prove that a young girl's place is behind the wheel in their new book Girls Go Racing:Driving to Esteems. Published in October 2009, Ben-Ari and Frissell have co-written Girls Go Racing to help women understand the sport of auto racing, what it entails for young girls who express an interest in getting involved, and how racing is a viable career option for young women. The purpose of the book is to also explore the psychology of self-esteem building and how involvement in motorsports plays a factor, defining one's identity and the concept of competitiveness. Girls Go Racing explores from a historical perspective, the past experiences of female racers, portrays female racing pioneers of the past, and shares with readers the available driving schools, scholarships and grants. A helpful glossary is also included.

For more information email Frissell at editor@womenwithwheels.com. Girls Go Racing, published by Authorhouse can be purchased at Amazon.com or at the publisher's website, Authorhouse.com.
