Antenna Balls and Pencil Toppers

Coolballs tm, possibly the biggest collectible since Beanie Babies, are a simple foam ball just right for car antennas. These diverse, personable little balls are the invention of Lisa Sievers, a San Carlos, CA creator. The owner of two other businesses, Sievers conceived Coolballs tm in 1998 when she noticed the popularity of the Jack ball, sold by Jack in the Box Restaurants. The first coolball was a light bulb designed as a promotional item for her electrical contracting company. After discovering that Jack in the Box had sold over 4 million balls, she decided that people should have a choice. She added more balls, each with its own personality and a character that reflects their birthplace. Selling more than 600 balls in two days, Sievers knew she had a winner. National Disaster Search Dog Foundation
Founder Wilma Melville

NDSDF was founded by a retired school teacher who with her black lab Murphy trained and became one of very few FEMA certified Advanced Disaster Search Dog Teams. Wilma and Murphy were deployed to the disaster in Oklahoma City in 1995, aiding firefighters in finding victims buried in the rubble. At that time there were only about 15 certified disaster search dog/handler teams in the entire U.S. To date, there are 114 teams. The Foundation chooses the dog to be trained, raises the funds for professional training of the dog, and assists handler and dog until certification is reached. It takes approximately $10,000 to rescue two dogs and provide training and assignment to handlers. You can learn more about our chosen organization to support in 2004 at www.SearchDogsUSA.org.
